Our mission is to foster a culture within the Greater Los Angeles District, where Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are celebrated. The purpose is to serve as an advisory committee to the local CMA fellowship, creating a safe space for the recovering addict while encouraging mindfulness towards DEI-related issues, to facilitate discussion plus offer guidance on ways to welcome and embrace all who walk through our doors with respect, regardless of age, race, physical appearance, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, background, or disability.
“If you or someone you know faces challenges attending meetings or engaging in the Fellowship, the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEI) needs your input!
Please help us by scanning the QR code and completing this brief poll for yourself, or on behalf of someone you know who wants better access to CMA Los Angeles.”
Diversity Awareness Thought for September 2023
We’d like our fellow addicts to consider other fun ways to react to the readings and announcements in the rooms. You wouldn’t shout “nice ass” to the literature person during their announcement, so shouting “nice rack” could be offensive to many who struggle with body self-image.
The DEI Committee meets on the first Saturday of every month at 11:30am via Zoom.
Meeting: ID: 868 9224 8315
